. Har
vest Moon .
After day
fades into the virgin night,
The darkness is bro
ken by an awesome sight.
Timid at first, then bold and p
roud,
A form can be distinguis
hed beneath the clouds.
The ground is cloaked in mys
tic light,
As the sphere arrives a
t a suitable height.
There it pauses to illuminate
the lands,
Grasping the Earth with its
yellow hands.
Its face is weathered, but retains
its glow,
Casting moonbeams where harves
t crops grow.
So majestic, must it leave s
o soon?
Dawn has come, farewell Harvest
Moon.
