Empire Art Conquests December 1993 Compilation
Here we are again. We actually made it to our second release. Well,
I have alot of informing and rambling to do, so I best not take too much time
on an introduction. Bottom line, were back, and better than ever as
promised. and were not prepared to stop what we do any time soon. Expect to
seem much more of Empire in the future, and expect what you see to gradually
grow and improve into a high-profile group. Ambitious goals? Perhaps. Were
very confident our goals are attainable, at least these goals. We have
already attained our spiritual goal, which is to aid talented and promising
artists. Now to some other notes of interest... this month we did alot of
rearranging, etc. We got over 20 applications for sites this month and most
were accepted. This was a surprise to me, personally, as I hadnt really had
an advertisement campaign launched to promote the group I wanted to prove a
point, that we didnt need the promotion, and with such a boom in application
I feel Ive proven my point. Anyhow we picked up alot of support around the
art scene and were virtually nothing in others... this was our fault. Our
last pack wasnt spread around enough, but hopefully by the time you read
this we have the support of Lupus, which can aid us in this respect. Anyhow,
we moved our Western Capitol from Valley of Death in San Jose/408 to After
Dark Club in Sacremento/916, we picked up our official United States Capitol,
based out of Houston/713: Mirror Image, and we picked up over 20 new sites
and member boards. We also continued work on EmpireNet, which now has a node
list and is nearing completion if you are the sysop of an Empire site, we
advise you to call Falling Fast at 609-895-9462 and get a copy of the node
list from Flick of the Switch as soon as possible if youre interested in
carrying the net. If you are not an Empire site and wish to carry this net
as a form of affiliation toward Empire or to keep up with Empire news, you
may also call Falling Fast and leave FS some mail about it. Well have an
application available for the net as soon as we make it publicly available.
Premier Magazine has continued development: The main coding will be done by
Vector, with support from Interloper. Artists for the magazine currently
include Interloper, Cisco, Flick of the Switch, Primordial Chowder,
Fluorescent Darkness, and myself. I would like to take this opportunity to
say that Premier is NOT Empires magazine. It is a magazine devoted TOTALLY
to art, and revolving around the better small underground groups. However,
Empire artist are heavy supporters of this magazine and this is the reason
we even mention it here. If youre interested contact any Empire member,
Beastie, Cisco, or anyone else you see affiliated with this cause. We are
looking for Writers, Artists, Coders, and Musicians. All plugging aside, you
should also be seeing a demo version of Premier out some time soon this will
not be an Empire release, but stay tuned for more information. Recruitments
this month include Mainman, who has promising font ideas, The Fugitive, who
is a promising Literary/Ansi artist on trial, Crusader who is a promising
Ansi artist also on trial, and The Mesmerist who is also an ansi artist on
trial. Expect to see their work in the months ahead. Promotions include
Fallen Angel to the position of Courier Coordinator, Nighthawk to the
position of VGA Coordinator, and Fluorescent Darkness to the position of
Musical Coordinator. I think this mass of words is enough... Im sure only
the brave or bored read this far... if ya did, youre cool . See yall next
pack.

Howdy, primordial chowder here, and ready to ramble. If you liked
EMPiREs first pack last month judging from the response a lot of people
did, youll probably like this one a lot better . I think the quality
of the work has improved throughout the group, and although weve been
bombarded with assignments and miscellaneous debris, weve managed to pull
this sucker together, and pick up a few members and sites on the way. One
of the files included in the pack is my ViSiON-X menu set hope you like it.
The reason it includes a fileid.diz AND a viewer hopefully, is that
obviously it can be distributed as a separate file....the viewer is just an
added goody for convenience. Anyway, just thought Id mention that, hope
this wasnt too painful and pointless.
* And if anybody would like me to do an ansi, contact me on some board, some
net, or some grocery store and well discuss it. Ciao.
Youre dismissed now.
But first a few greets!:
Cisco : Now that youre a big boy, I better be KNOCKED DOWN with
awe!
ShadowSorcerer : Wow, at least a three hour conference, with NOTHING DONE!
Fallen Angel : Dont make me hurt you, p*nk.
Fire Shadow : Anything else?
The Black Knight : How bout ASiD, ANSi Superiors in Demand
