I was a fan of the reader-submitted art prompts illustrated at
explodingdog.com, which eventually included the iconic character of the RED
ROBOT. This archetype was so awesome someone had to spoil it for everyone and
so the artist of the unfunny Diesel Sweeties webcomic appropriated the
character, rendering it in the strips trademark pixelart style. I wondered
what software he used to produce all the consistent straight lines and blocks.
Looks kind of like ANSI, I thought! Heres a pixel sketch he did of the RED
ROBOT character, lets see if I can reproduce it in ANSI form!

August 14, 2001, I did. iCEcolour was needed. I concluded that the artist
very probably was not drawing it in ACiDdraw. Anticlimax. Even if they did,
it wouldnt be enough to salvage the strips overall lameness. And that brings
us to the end of another uninteresting story that goes nowhere!
