8CSorry for the ludicrously old header, but its too damned hard to get
current artists to cough stuff up at a moments notice.
8CAnyway, welcome to Kithe issue 14. Big, aint it?
8CAs only befits a magazine celebrating a three-year-anniversary. By thatI speak of course of the birthday of Mistigris, that most subtly alive of all
the groups in the art scene. We rock! Who else would put out a mag this cool?
How cool? Oh yeah, you probably havent loaded it up yet. Well... do it. OrIll kick your ass@!@
8CAlong with Mist, as its official mag, Kithe is also three years old now.And even though mistigris releases sporadically at best, kithe issues appear
even more infrequently. Lets take a look... though this is issue number
fourteen, a number which most mags never even dream of, we have had 38 months toput them out. So that means that we put out an issue every... two-and-three-
quarters months? Every calculate calculate 11 weeks? I suppose at that rate
its only a week per issue away from being a seasonal mag rather than a mag
purportedly released with monthly packs. Well tackle that latter first, I
should think.
8CAs you make your way through this, you will no doubt notice that there
is a heck of a lot of content that this mag will not be read in one sitting.
While it is nice to release a gigantolithic monster once in a while, wed ratherrelease these more consistantly in smaller chunks rather than letting the
articles build up until the dam bursts. What am I trying to say? The only realreason we dont release more often is because we have a hard time finding peopleto code for it. So, if you enjoyed this mag after you read it, that is maybe
youll find it in your heart to volunteer a few hundred lines of code for the
next issue. er... providing you CAN code, that is.
8CLikewise, much of the information presented here is though quite
interesting, less and less related to the goings-on of Mistigris and its member
population. Expect in the future for Kithe to be smaller and more frequent as
these extraneous articles are going to be siphoned off to spawn mags all their
own! Look for articles like the bathroom grafitti to be included in a mag
regarding writing in all its forms, for recipes like those in our kitchen to be
in another Kithe cookbook, and for external forums for all of those meet reviewsand dream descriptions as well! Theres no point in restricting the interest inthose topics to that miniscule proportion of the population who downloads mist
packs. This way they can diversify and flourish in their own stead.
8CThats really all Ive got to say. Though this mags unusual format wasinspired by neccessity, I think that perhaps this new magazine environment
turned out to be one of our grooviest issues ever. So check it out!

oh yeah, and thanks to Mavrik for not eviscerating me for using the Kithe logo
he drew for the very first kithe issue, which he coded.
