i came into the scene in october 95 and it was the bawmb!  draw and draw and 
when release time rolled around everyone was pumped!  i left the scene in march
97 with the scene in my mind all summer... i came back in october 97...  2 yearsafter i originally started... and hell had literally broken loose...  everyone
is worried about being elite and god dammit shut the fuck up already!  can't youpeople see that this is a fucking hobby!  are you making a living off of it?
are you going to make a living off of it in the future?  fuck no..  draw becauseyou like it...  everyone hates each other and is better than the other..  it is
not for you to judge whether you are the best or not..  not many people have 
been in the scene long enough to judge who is best...  no one is a professional
ansi/ascii/rip/vga artist in this scene...  so shut up and draw!  i came back 
and said to myself, man..  these people are a bunch of dicks..  all they want 
is to kill other people and idle on irc...  they aren't here to draw anymore..
they are here to be elite....  there is a difference in being elite and being
a respected artist..  you have to have talent to be a respected artist...  i 
might not be a good ascii/anscii artist..  but god dammit i fuckin try..  not
only do i fuckin try, but i draw because i like doing it!  why is purg releasinga 2 year anniversary pak?  how has purg lasted for 2 years?  because we like 
drawing..  we don't have artists like whitetrash, lordjazz, dreadnaught, tomppa,napalm, discyple, cain, khz, mhz, or any of the greats..  we have the artists 
that are in it for the fun...  we are a group like likes to draw..  we don't
push the fuckin releases and we don't talk shit...  we draw..  the scene is 
about doing it!  if you play basketball do you just talk shit and all of a 
sudden people respect you?  no..  you have to play the fucking sport.. and be
good at it..  and have a good attitude...  consider this a sport people...  do
it because you like it..  if you just get on irc and are pissed off at the worldthen you aren't doing yourself a bit of good and you aren't doing the scene a 
bit of good...  it isn't time to start another group to revive the scene.. and
it isn't time to disband all bbs-based forms of art...  it is time to draw...
no more talk about anti-ansi/ascii/rip..  no more talk about forming new groups
to keep the scene alive..  just good clean art...  ascii has realized these
