We welcome Fenric, Blazing Shadow, Cypher Creed, Splat, Cable, and Insanity Man from the Chalk crew. They're all very talented artists, and certainly have helped fill the VGA department, strengthen the newly formed ascii dept., and help create a RIP department. Former Chalk headquarters and distribution sites have been made distribution sites for broken, as to not abandon them. 2] Fenric has a new position to keep him busy with: Senior Staff. :) As former president of Chalk, and great ansi artist, we thought it was appropriate... maybe he can release a pack on time for us. 3] Mr. Data (a coder for Eden) has joined us, and we look forward to some fine coding from him. Another talented new member of the broken team is a fontist from Shiver, Mephitopeles. Finally, Doctor Chug completes our new ascii department with his smoothe askey stile. 4] I'd like to welcome 3 new couriers: Wolf Lord (from Canada), Aggressor (from New Jersey), and Slayer (from Austrailia). Obviously our couriering this month will be much swifter. :) 5] With the addition of 13 new sites this month (8 or so resulting from the Chalk merger), Broken will -NOT- be accepting any more United States sites, unless of course you were one of the ones that has slipped my mind :).. 6] Well, obviously we have lost alot of internet/ftp ansi support. Since deadbaby went down, hornet dosn't seem to want to support ansi groups anymore, and ftp.luth.se is just a mirror of hornet, there are no real official ftp sites left that you can find the broken packs on. However, the pack may be acquired via DCC on IRC from various broken members, which can sometimes be found in the channel #broken. The packs can also be [unofficially] found on Starport (FC WHQ) at "mpoli.fi" via Telnet, and multiple dial in lines. 7] Finally, i'd like to apologize for releasing the pack 2 days late, but i choose to wait for nebula to finish the broken application generator v1.0 (not associated with dreldragon's appgen1).. i must thank him for putting up with me , but it came out kickass. :) 8] Oh yeah, just one more thing, the greets can be found in the file BKN-1294.GRT... since otherwise it would just clutter up this info even more. I just thought I'd throw in a little note for the infofile this in this month's Broken Pack. I can't tell you how relieved I am that I had Chalk (my former group) merge with Broken. We were getting nowhere in Chalk, but we had some talent, and it was just going to waste. All the artists from Chalk were brought into Broken with the exception of New School, and thats it. All of our coders and couriers who helped us none during the few months Chalk was alive got the boot. Chalk wasn't getting anywhere, I didn't have much time to run it at the time considering I had just gotten arrested for poss. of a weapon and underage drinking , I still have to go to fucking court, who knows when...Needless to say that added a _little_ stress to my life, and I got a new girlfriend, and I got my license, and I'm trying to get into a good college - and I fucked up big time in school this quarter. But, somehow, I squeezed out some ansi's this month, and they aren't that good...I promise better to come. This is bullshit, why am I telling you people this? Half of you are jerking off right now and the other half are commenting on what a dork you think I am, at least those are the things I do when I read .NFO files.
