hen t h e e r the blender 2000 - #005 w e l c o m e this week s blender was conducted from london ontario in the home of my parents because i wasn t using my regular internet account (i was actually using aol blech!) i had a hard time getting on it was 11 58am when i finally joined #blender2000 and lo and behold there were 25 people there including a bot and 3 ops! so thanks go out to vader sinister 6000 and cthulu for doing a great job setting things up and filling in while i was hanging with my grandmother =) i think you ll see from the results here that we ve had another great blender lots of ansi this time around and no hirez or rip for a change! pike where are you =) n e w s it seems that #blender s been taken over again i don t have any idea who it s been +i for almost two weeks now with no clue why don t ask me why the blender is such a target i must have enemies in the government! any help in getting the channel back is appreciated until then check in #blender2000 or ask in #ans at this moment the word-submission thingie on the webpage still doesn t work until it does we ll be continuing to gather words on IRC just before the compo but once the webpage works you ll be able to submit words anytime you want if anyone can help out with a simple perl script (no CGI) email us! the wiz looks really young is it a portrait of one of you guys =) ansichrist ( ) - ns-ds ans (ansi) - the way you ve set this dying soul up reminds me of a sal- vador dali painting you guys were the only ones that made the whole planet jump big yellow man (poffelipoff) - bym-wiz ans (ansi) - you ve got an excellent * 2 * style you must work for 12 hours straight on these entries! and i think you re the only guy who doesn t go for humor =) catch22 (glue) - 22blends ans (ansi) - the face on this one is excellent a lot of expression on it i wonder how many people i get asking me you have a new bbs cthulu (mistigris) - ct-oeo it (track) - haha this one made me crack up you guys are the kings queens of cheesy theme-songs emporer penguin ( ) - bucfuttr ans (ansi) - well it s not a stick- man with a giant penis at least close though =) goatboy (sane) - go-wiz ans (ansi) - goes to show that for some people ansi is just like riding a bike - you never forget and it s got cool streamers from the handlebar grymmjack (fokus) * 3 * - !gj-b05b it (track) - excellent track i can totally imagine this being the soundtrack to some psychotic adventures in oz tv show! leo (black maiden) - wiz ans (ansi) - too bad you didn t get a chance to finish up all the shading still this is a really cool effort i like your style luminator (sodapop) - lum-wiz exe (shockwave) - haha this is hilarious pretty good silhouettes too the only complaint i have is that the jumping connection at the end is kind of a stretch =) ministar ( ) - minblend ans (ansi) - hehe it s kind of hard to see the jumping action in this one too but that s a nice-looking scarecrow you ve got mr wrong (fokus) - us-b2k90 ans (ansi) - gasp* it s not a rip! sinister 6000 this is the first actual screen capture submission we ve had i don t know how you managed to chat with this even just long enough to capture it nosegos (ice) * 1 * - ng-b2k1 ice (ansi) - this is a really cool ansi in a style that you don t see everyday what clinched first place is the way you used jumping brilliant! slash (chaos energy group) - sl-b2k asc (ascii) - i like these fonts especially the first one good job getting three big fonts done by yourself tres bien! =) ssunrise ( ) - 2000 it (track) - it s too bad that you couldn t squeeze this one down to the size limit cuz it s amazing oh well i must treat everyone equally!
