Looking down on all which he had created God could do nothing but pat himself on the back It was his finest masterpiece ever the Planet Earth The mountains the trees the oceans it all worked together to form the most beautiful piece of art he had ever forged However as he looked down he realized there was no one to appreciate his work Art for the sake of art he thought No one will appreciate it I had better create something else so the art can serve a purpose And with that the human race was created For a time everything was tranquil on God s green earth Man appreciat- ing the beauty around him knowing it served no other purpose but to be art Soon however man s thought process underwent a horrid mutation That which served no other purpose than to bring beauty was no longer good enough Men started to question God in why he would waste his time on such meaning- less junk It was at this time that men started to turn their backs on all that which served no purpose but to bring happiness to all who observed A dark time fell over the Earth Warlords started popping up creating armies and warring with each other trying to gain control trying to destroy all who stood in their way For a short time God was amused at all this petty bickering going on and he even decided to help add to the chaos He placed a cloud over the world Blocking the sun the cloud created a world which lived in the shadows The shadows provided cover for all the filth who were destroying the world Afraid to show their faces the darkness only gave them the strength to keep destroying all which God had created Like the Phoenix rising from the flames there came a being who rose from the ashes of the desolate planet Growing up under the influence of all who were evil the creature dreamed of growing up and dominating the planet But one day the creature had a vision Art for the sake of art my son that is where the true power lies The words rung like a bell in his ears After years of searching he found enough people who shared in his belief Together they set off on the holiest of all crusades to restore the importance of art and to unite all together and end all petty wars Rile was the chosen one and Rile will be successful in its mission luke skywalker lscodine@juno com
