Well, RcA is growing like a cancer. 99
Some didnt expect it, less can explain
it, but the truth of the matter is that 69
in the past month RcA has grown to pro-
portions that are matched by few groups 33
in the scene. Some said we wouldnt last.
Others said that we wouldnt break out of RcA Growth Chart
864. Well,thanks to a merger,a HUGE mass
movement of members to the internet, and a large amount of time
and dedication, RcA is starting to be noticed by the likes of
ACiD, iCE, and mOp. Though we are far from competing with these
groups at the present time, if we continue to expand as we have
done in the past month, it will not be long before RcA is a
intrical force in the scene. Read on for more info on our new
members and our additional services that we extend to you, the
art enthusiast, for your viewing pleasure. We hope that you
find everythin palatable.
No, RcA hasnt just become overun
with drunkards. The AA! is for
Anarchists Anonymous, the Canadian
based group that just merged with
RcA. Corrosion founder of AA! and
Star Lord, with the help of Hornet,
finalized the merger this month.
However, as is the case with most
mergers, we dont have any idea who
Aerial Shot of AA members the hell these AA! people are or
forming their namesake how to contact them. So give us a
a litte of your patience and a
couple months to get this straightened out and youll see
some art from them soon. We do have a sample of their work
what little we got from Corrosion, so be sure to check out
what they have to offer. Here is a list of all former AA!
members who are joining up with RcA:
Clocwurc Lit Green Goblin ANSI
Corrosion Founder ICE9 ANSI, VGA
Dark Slayer Net Jonny Rotten Music, Lit
Depth VGA Limpid ANSI, Modding
Dream Weaver ANSI, Lit Messiah ANSI, Lit
Feeler VGA Nexus VGA
Finn everything Sandman VGA
As you can see, we got quite alot of people doing quite alot
of things so be on the look out for work by these kids in
this and future RcA releases.
Thats right folks, you heard it here first...RcA has
officially gone online with a host of services to better
serve you on the internet. We now run an IRC channel,
rca, which is usually active
through most of the night. We
are working on getting a bot,
who will be run by our new
Telecomm man , Outlaw. Also ,
RcA is proud to announce its
official FTP site, arranged by
deadhead. For the latest RcA
packs not to mention an archive
Striker downloads of the past releases, you can
porn off the internet set your sites on the popular,
speedy, safe, Deadhead approved
wuarchive.wustl.edu /archive01/pub/MSDOSUPLOADS/ansi/RCA
for all your file needs. We also have a couple of RcA
websites, put together by our own Deadhead. Though they
are still under construction, you can feel free too visit
http://www.n3baf.com/ross/rca.htm for the latest RcA pax
and info. Also available is Deadheads own personal page,
at http://www.n3baf.com/ross/default.htm. Here you can
read all about the ascii guy everyone has grown to love,
deadhead. We at RcA would like to give a big hug and a
thank you to Deadhead for his efforts in putting together
these websites. Wow, what a guy!
You might notice from the member
list that a dramatic change in the
number of distro sites and member
boards has occured. Star Lord, who Beer
basically has taken charge of all
BBS activities, had decided that the In a drunken stupor, SL
list had become too extensive. decides no more distros!
Since many o our members are running
boards, and also because of the large amount of sysops asking
for distro sites, the list had grown too much and we were not
able to keep up with all the boards. Therefore, we have cut
the number of affiliated boards down, and all former distro
sites are up for review. We hope that these few boards will
be able to meet your needs. However, we feel that because of
our new internet services and the high quality of the exist-
ing affiliated boards, the lack of a large BBS list will not
be a problem. In other BBS news, we will soon have a new
Canadian HQ. Once Corrosion gets his board up and running
it will serve as RcAs link to our northern neighbors. Also,
Ringys board, Hell Tech Ent., is a new distro site that
hold the other coveted headquarters site title for the
time being. Be sure to give it a call and see what RcAs new
North Eastern HQ has to offer.
RCAs dedicated Net, The Uprising
Net, is running for its second month.
Any BBS wishing to get in on the Ansi, Rip, Vga, Music, Lit
coding, or other discussion group fun can simply fill out
the enclosed forms that are contained in the net zip file:
uprising.zip. Then just upload your app to the Alter Ego,HQ
for the net and youll be just a step away from chatting
with all us RcA guys. Scores of areas are waiting to be
filled with your questions, comments, requests, and just
interesting conversation so hurry and get in on the action!
Thanks to RcAs recent presence on the internet, a
slew of new members join the family. We would like to
first welcome our new Ansi doodlers, Contemptx, Cryptic
Sin, and Cynic. Also joining the ranks are some new ascii
people, going by Bug, F00l, and Ringy. Ringy is also
helping us out on the net front, acting as our official
net recruiter. Another net-junkie joining to help us out
is Outlaw, who will be setting up a bot for us in rca,
RcAs official channel. In addition, Pirate Box joins our
newly formed modding department. Speaking of which,
Hornet still wants me to plug this thing, so all you
modders out there join RcA and make cool stuff for us
so Hornet will be happy. Last, but certainly not least,
RcA has gained a fantastic new VGA and ANSI pic artist,
going by the name of Giger. In other member news, Mr. Yuck
has been promoted to RcA staff member, presiding over the
grand business of logos and ascii. Finally, I, Wildcat,
have been accepted into mOp, in my opinion, probably the
number 2 group on the scene. I will continue to release
under RcA and stay as active a member as before. Well,
that about takes care of the news for this month. Later.
As always, we crave attention and
are gratefull for any feedback, Newsletter
