1. introduction
hello again and welcome to the sweet sixteenth
fuel phenomenon. lets have a little fun, shall we.
my password on the bots of ansi is pudding. g
actually, im glad vacation is over. i truly am.
nobody has time to draw and things are always moving
in a slowmotion fashion. i suffered from the lazyness
illness too.
a word about dualling again. i dont really care if
people think they have enough time to distribute their
art to several groups. i will not tolerate, however,
that if a member hands in a piece of work for a fuel
pack, it also turns up in another groups pack. it is
truly ridiculous. you wont get any appreciation by
doing this. it will only cause trouble.
speaking of trouble, im having horrible nightmares that
one day, ill run out of colorcombinations.
my girlfriend brought it to my attention that i was
instructing an imaginary guy how to draw an ansi, in my
sleep. hmm!?!@@
im a strong believer of fair trade. so onto the
twi-9701.zip, containing nws-9701.exe twilight info,
from which i quote deeply disturbed:

holds some of the best talent in the scene.
well, at the time deeply and i did that trade, fuel just
released their 9th pack. im sure you are aware of the
fact that you are reading the infofile of fuel 16 now.
i know deeply has been in toronto for quite some time,
but im sure he hasnt been there for over 6 months.
i stopped hoping for the ansi he promised me, so im
re-releasing it brushed up a bit in the fuelpack.
it should have gone in a fuelpack in the first place.
im not mad about this, and i hope neither twilight nor
deeply takes offense. it just seemed like the proper
thing to do.
newsflash
we are no longer taking new members that only draw
logos. if your application is not backed up by at least
a few decent pictures, dont even bother. this does not
mean we dont *value* good fontists. we just want to
stress that we are mainly a pic group.
since we are considered to be a euro group, and euro
groups, by american definition, suck. we are proud to
say thank you very much, look at the fucking memberlist,
and up yours!

2. re-organisation
fuel really needed a re-organisation of the internal
structure to make the organising easier. now theres
a better global view of what everyone has to do and
what the positions exactly are.
advisory council new: this new division gives us the
opportunity to promote members who deserve it. this
division has a strong voicing opinion and can take
over jobs from senior staff. new senior staff members
are chosen from this division. the senior staff is now
limited to a few members to avoid cumbersome discussions.
the senior staff is not some kind of alumni division.
its contains active people who actually take care of
the daily organising.
member division new: a place in this division should
be deserved. people who have been very helpful and who
have put a lot of effort in fuel can obtain this special
member status. we shifted some senior staff members into
this division because they werent very active any more.
the special member status has been called to life to
improve the group management.
ascii division dropped: after a lot of discussion we
decided to drop our ascii division. it was a tough
decision to take, because dropping members has always
been harsh. we think the ascii division is becoming a
more independent scene and since we were unable to find
a devoted head for it, we we decided to scratch it.
desperado, jizm, master of rage, meggahertz and warhawk
had to leave along with this decision. we are truly sorry
for this and we wish them luck in their future or
current groups. thanks for everything guys!
3. memberflow
this month we gained a lot of new artists. more artists
seem to be interested in joining fuel. new members to
fuel are: azrael joining our ansi division, hes known
and were very proud to have him with us. catch22 glue
is also joining our ansi division and our advisory staff.
were glad to have 4th discyple dualing with dark joining
us this month. mongi left decadence and we were lucky to
pick him up at the right time. mongi joins our ansi
division and is also known for his awesome vga art in
ice. also trying to dual with dark is kleenex who
recently got back into drawing again. outkast twilight
also joined our ansi division, he might not be active in
the near future, but keep checking it out : also joining
us this month is zeusII, he left twilight and was looking
for another group. he will also be member of our advisory
staff. and last but not least, lint joins us from everglo.
were very glad to welcome all these talented artists !
leaving us this month is ark anjel aka icepick, he left
for his favorite group awe. good luck man! forced to
leave this mont are cool guy, drc four and cybergod.
moving to our memberdivision this month are deep freezer,
harass, night angel and angel of hell. being in this
division is an honor, these members are granted this
position for their devotion and hard work in fuel.
4. sites
because bbss are getting a bit outdated we decided to
drop some boards because were quite sure we dont need
these sites and doubt they carry all our releases. some
boards were left out because of affiliation hunting.
5. fuel97.org
the setup process is quite slow, i know. we cant really
help it. the ftp and web server are up, but not open for
the public yet. we will open everything at the same time.
i can only ask you people to be patient, were doing the
best we can, thank you :
6. nail-noize-wired
i wrote quite a harsh piece of text in the infofile of
fuel 15. it wasnt my intention but i somehow accused
some people of faking competition results at wired 1997.
i didnt mean to accuse people, i wanted to make a point
of the unfair ansi compos at european scene parties. but
i really didnt want to accuse nail fire neither noize
fire of doing something low like that and therefor im
sorry. i talked to both of them, and i everything is ok
again. happy it didnt become a groupwar.
