Introduction
Recently I returned to the scene after a long leave of
absence. Most of the people I knew were still active, and
from what I could gather, not much had changed. Especially
the appearance of boards. They were still running generic
Forum hacks with little or no ANSies.
In effect, this made BBSes look almost identical. For you
fast-warez people this would not of been a problem.
However, I have always believed that ANSies give a board
individuality, and add a certain positive aura. Meaning, as
a user, I would infinitely prefer to log onto a colourful BBS
than a dull, drab looking one ie, virtually every BBS in +61-3
without a logon welcome ANSi screen.
Rather than sit on my backside, and watch the view, I decided
that something had to be done. A local ANSi group catering
for the local scene was required, and thus ADFA pronounced
ADD-Fah - with a silent h was born. Since then, I have set
about recruiting some local talent, and the following is
information concerning the group itself.
What Can ADFA Do For You?
Well, its obvious isnt it? We are here to cater to ANSi
requests from SysOps who want to spice up their board a bit.
There is nothing we will not do, but to give you an idea here
is a list of some things we can do:
logon welcome screens BBS menus
logoff goodbye screens stats screens
utility screens ie, PCE zip comments
How To Order An ADFA Ansi
Enclosed is a file called ADFARQST.FRM. Simply fill out the
details in the form, and upload/paste it as a message at:
Board Name: Disorganised Crime ADFA WHQ/Request Site
Phone Number: +61-03/796-9217 or
+61-03/796- Note, at the time of
writing this line is
and logon as: *not* yet online
Username: Request
Password: Request
Obviously if you already have an account here, you can
just post the request in the appropriate area.
One may think this is a bit of a hassle. But hey, if you
cannot be bothered spending 5-10 minutes typing, then you
obviously are not worth our artists time. Keep in mind it
takes over *two* hours and usually more to draw these
things.
Please use this method of requesting, rather than posting an
artist on your BBS. This allows *all* our artists to see the
request. Thus, your commission has a greater chance of being
filled quicker.
Form Of Payment
As of this release, we are yet to install our Bankcard / Visa
system hah, so we will have to rely upon the goodwill of the
requestee. Something can be negotiated between the requestee
and artist, but one would assume that a reward of better
access, file points, etc. would be sufficient.
Sample ADFA Work
Within this package there will be a few ANSi art pieces by our
artists. This is just to give you a peek at our capabilities.
We dont claim to be of ACiD quality, but hell, were all you
guys got! Enjoy.

As a group we hope to become a permanent fixture in the local
scene, providing you with quality ANSies and service.
Currently, we are an ANSi only group, but with time we plan to
expand into the VGA and coding scene.
If you have any questions concerning ADFA, its members, or
whatever, simply post me some mail on the usual +61-3 boards.
If not, post me anyway and tell me what you think about us.
