ACiD-100. The 100th Acquisition Update. The Final Artpack.

What you witness here is the fructification of over a year in planning, coordination and construction. Members from all periods of our existence have collaborated in the creation of what lies behind the arcade panels below: the most monumental ACiD production ever.

This exhibit is symbolic in a multitude of ways. In some form, I feel that it even serves as a modest representation of our very being and a beacon of where we (as a scene) are heading. It also marks my long-planned retirement. Friends cite the follies of those who have "quit" before me, together with their elaborate textfiles bidding farewell, only to return a mere two weeks later. And so the question just begs to be asked... Why retire at the height of the scene in the age of the internet?

Opportunity. The opportunity for everyone to try on a new pair of shoes, myself included. There are many more large projects I have envisioned for the future, none of which allow for the continuous managerial involvement and dedication that I expect from myself in order to run things properly in the most dynamic group in the scene.

And so concludes this round. We display our hand with what I hope are some very exciting cards amidst all the hype that has surrounded them.

Thank you for participating in the celebration of our crowning release.

Happy New Year (Hyvää Uutta Vuotta),
